Not all heroes are good guys.
With a body count on his soul and blood on his hands, Killian Nox lived in the gray. Ruthlessly single-minded, if he wanted something, it was his. And when it came to the gorgeous lass with a fiery attitude, he didn’t just want her.
He needed her.
With southern-bred manners and a snark all her own, Augusta ‘Gus’ Allan was a connoisseur of cheap wine, delicious Mexican food, and good TV. Unfortunately, her taste in men wasn’t as well-developed. When her knight in shining armor turned out to be a douche in tinfoil, Gus never expected her real hero to be a sexy-accented, tattooed beast of a man.
But he was exactly who she needed.
Gus had no clue how comforting a monster in the dark could be...
Warning: Recommended for readers 18+ due to awesome things like adult content and language... wink, wink, nudge, nudge.
This Happily Ever Alpha Kindle World novella is a crossover of The Hyde Series and Aurora Rose Reynolds' Until Series. It features glimpses of familiar faces from Hyde and Seek, Best Kase Scenario, and Until November. However, it can be enjoyed as a standalone.
"Until Nox (Happily Ever Alpha)" Reviews
Every book by Layla Frost is amazing and Until Nox was no exception!! Gus was a stubborn and cheeky heroine while Nox was an strong Alpha male all the way. They are by far one of my favorite couples. The side characters from previous books where great but the grandmother had me laughing at her antics. The ending was wonderful with a nice epilogue.
*ARC was given to me for a honest review*
too many details, so low romance.
ok I got it, this is a novella. but tell me why you did not write the talks and fucks or times between them? I'm not saying that there is no scene, but for my opinion Frost couldnt write enough long and many romantic scenes so that makes other things seemed like details. there were more 'business' verbalism than our couples.
I liked the story, at least, not cliche. I loved Killian. he is Scottish and Irish, he is possessive, attentive, sweet but not a beast like as told, even not possessive enough cuz' there was not 'enough' circumstance to prove this.
you know I hate when autors write too much sex and I know this is not an erotica but I'm not satisfied either.
fookin' he calls her as 'mo chuisle' which means 'my pulse'.
“First day you were here, you were sitting like this. You stared up at me with those wide eyes, and I was gone. Never had my dick go so hard, so fast. I wanted your lips wrapped around me, aye, but mostly I wanted you to always look at me like you were. Like you knew I was the monster in the dark, and you wanted to turn the light off and be with me.”
Aye, this is hot, but cmon this book is not dark, he is not dark as I said before.
Kill me Killian
This was a great novella with Ms. Frost’s trademark humor and steamy scenes. Gus, the heroine, was so freaking cute with her inner monologue. She was snarky and smart, tough but kind and gentle. The type of heroine who you’d want as your best friend. Killian Nox was absolutely dreamy and so very swoon worthy! With his Scottish accent I was a goner from the moment he first spoke. Who doesn’t love an accent, and the way he pronounced certain words reminded me throughout the book that he was the real deal.
I loved the way this story unfolded so naturally. Nothing felt forced or contrived and despite its length, it had the feel of a full book. It’s a very low angst read and not high on drama and yet it was constantly moving forward. And the steam factor, while coming a bit later in the book – but again completely organic to their relationship – was off the charts. The chemistry between these two was apparent from their first moments together. They sizzled!
This is a fast paced read that is excellently written with a rhythm that pulls you in and keeps you turning pages. There is no other woman drama but some man drama due to a break up Gus has with her current boyfriend.
I fell in love with Gus’ meema as well and I hate the thought that I might never meet her again in future books. There were some cameos from the Maysons which was fun. This author has an awesome talent for secondary characters. Each one I met I just wanted to know more about them. She did this to me in her first series as well. I need more Ms. Frost!
I. Need. More!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Wait wait wait... is this the same author that wrote With Us?!?! Because that book was amazing and this was total crap. Very unrealistic setup, and didn't feel the chemistry at all. Not a fan of "a-dork-able" heroines that babble like morons around the hero. Overall, just a really boring read..
Until Nox is an amazing addition to the Until World. Layla has always had the ability to make a hero not only a badass but also hilarious too.
Nox is a protective asshole when it comes to three things... work, his dog Nolan and Gus. Which makes him one swoon worthy book boyfriend.
Gus is a very independent stubborn funny heroine that makes you wish she was your best friend.
throw in a mix of Maysons from ARR and you have a perfect short story that you will not want to end.
Thank you for letting me read this early. It makes. me want to read your stories all over again.
